How much does hyperbaric oxygen therapy cost? The answers vary widely, because “hyperbaric” covers two very different services. Here is what each one costs, what a session costs at K Wellness in Long Beach, and how paying works.
In short
- A 60-minute mild hyperbaric session at K Wellness is $100.
- Packages of 5, 10 or 20 sessions bring it to $80, $70 or $60 a session.
- Clinical hyperbaric oxygen therapy is a medical procedure. Medicare Part B may cover it for specific conditions.
- We don’t take insurance. We accept credit and debit cards, mobile payments, and HSA/FSA cards.
Two kinds of hyperbaric, two kinds of price
A mild hyperbaric session, like ours, takes place in a soft-sided chamber pressurized with air to 1.3 ATA. It isn’t used to treat medical conditions, and you pay for it yourself.
Clinical hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) means breathing near 100% oxygen at higher pressure, in a hyperbaric facility, for a specific medical condition. It is billed as a medical procedure. We don’t offer it. The full difference is in our post on mild hyperbaric vs clinical HBOT.
How much is a hyperbaric session at K Wellness?
Every session is 60 minutes in one of our soft-sided chambers, sitting up or lying down, at 1.3 ATA.
| Option | Price | Per session |
|---|---|---|
| Single session | $100 | $100 |
| 5 sessions (save $100) | $400 | $80 |
| 10 sessions (save $300) | $700 | $70 |
| 20 sessions (save $800) | $1,200 | $60 |
A session with red light is $20 more: $120 for one, or $480, $840 and $1,440 for packages of 5, 10 and 20. Prices are confirmed with you before your first session. The current list is on our hyperbaric session pricing page.
Do you need a package?
No. You can book a single session. There’s no set number of sessions, so ask us when you call before deciding on a package.
What clinical HBOT costs, and insurance
We don’t offer clinical HBOT. It is a medical procedure, and what you pay depends on your insurance and the facility. According to Medicare.gov:
- Medicare Part B may cover hyperbaric oxygen therapy for a specific list of conditions, such as acute carbon monoxide intoxication and decompression illness.
- You usually pay 20% of the Medicare-approved amount, and the Part B deductible may apply.
- What you owe depends on other insurance you have, what the provider charges, and the type of facility.
If your doctor has recommended HBOT, ask them and the facility what it will cost you.
Paying at K Wellness
We don’t accept insurance. We accept credit and debit cards, mobile payments, and HSA/FSA cards. Check with your plan whether a service qualifies for HSA/FSA use.

Before you come in
Hyperbaric sessions aren’t right for everyone, and they aren’t a substitute for care from your own doctor. Before your first session, our medical assistant asks about your health conditions and anything you’re taking. Bring a list of your medications and supplements, and tell us about any allergies or recent surgery. It isn’t a medical evaluation — if you’re unsure whether this is safe for you, ask your doctor first. The list of things to tell us about is on our hyperbaric page.
