On our IV menu you’ll see two ways to get vitamins: a drip and an IV push. What is an IV push, and how is it different from a drip? Here is the plain answer, with the time and price of each at K Wellness in Long Beach, so you can pick the one that fits your day.
In short
- A drip is IV fluids with vitamins, run through the IV line. It takes about 20 to 45 minutes.
- An IV push gives vitamins through the IV line as a push, instead of as a drip. It takes about 5 to 10 minutes, not counting prep time.
- Drips start at $150. An IV push (two vitamins) is $100.
- The same questions come first either way: tell us about your health conditions and anything you take.

Which one to choose
If time is what you’re short on, ask us about the push when you call. If you’re interested in a specific drip from the menu, such as a Myers’ cocktail, that comes as a drip. One drip on our menu combines both: a Myers’ cocktail with glutathione, where the glutathione is given as an IV push.

Before you come in
IV therapy isn’t right for everyone, and it isn’t a substitute for care from your own doctor. Before treatment, our medical assistant asks about your health conditions, so tell us about any conditions, medications or recent surgery, and bring a list of what you take. It isn’t a medical evaluation — if you’re unsure whether this is safe for you, ask your doctor first. The list of things to tell us about, and possible side effects, are in is IV therapy safe?
